I tried the manual procedure for upgrading an iPod 4G from iOS 4.1 to 4.2.1. I selected the 4.2.1 ipsw file and I get a 3194 error. I tried the redirecting trick for gs.apple.com in the /etc/hosts file but still get the same error. Any ideas?

I don’t need to upgrade to 4.3 as I understand it’s buggy. Just need 4.2.

Try Again Installing it Manually.. as Now you cannot Update Automoatically as it will Update your Firmware to Newer Version 4.3.. :)
